ACP Palermo and Parma: Standing by children, with joy and hope
We spent a special day together in the hospital, meeting children and parents who face difficult challenges every single day.
These are moments of encounter, listening, and closeness times when we often bring a smile, a little lightness, and words of encouragement.
We listen to powerful stories, often marked by pain and loss. Through these testimonies, we learn how precious it is to be able to give hope in such moments.
Together with the children, we played, laughed, and shared small gifts like books, games, and thoughtful tokens, that made the day brighter and more meaningful. Simple gestures that carry a deep message of care and love.
Each time we enter the hospital, we feel how hard it is to see suffering on the faces of little ones, yet at the same time, we witness the strength that grows from solidarity and faith. It is this very strength that has always driven us to continue, to serve, and to walk alongside those most in need.
We are grateful for every encounter and every smile received. We will carry the experience of this day with us as a precious sign of hope and life.
